The EU Packaging Directive 94/62/EC refers to the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on Packaging and Packaging Waste Disposal. All packaging and packaging waste placed on the EU market, regardless of whether it is intended for use in industry, commerce, offices, shops, services, households, or elsewhere, and irrespective of the type of material used in the packaging, needs to meet the control requirements of the EU Packaging Directive.
